Better later than never — and three days after completing a full year with Triple-A St. Paul — the Twins are calling up No. 1 prospect Walker Jenkins for his highly anticipated MLB debut Friday night against the White Sox at Target Field.

Jenkins, who is 21 years and 189 days old, and the Twins' highest-ranked prospect since Byron Buxton, will fittingly be their youngest position player to debut since Buxton on June 14, 2015 and is coming up in part because of Buxton's hip injury.
