Five days after the conclusion of the World Series, the Twins are set to lose four key players to free agency, with starting catcher Ryan Jeffers, starting designated hitter Josh Bell, and relief pitchers A.J. Minter and Taylor Rogers each heading to the open market after filling substantial roles this season.
Jeffers and Bell accounted for 16.3 percent of the plate appearances, 18.7 percent of the home runs, and 21.5 percent of the RBIs produced by the Twins' lineup this year. Minter (who was added at the trade deadline) and Rogers combined for 23.9 percent of the innings thrown by the Twins' bullpen in August and September.
Which of the Twins' departing free agents should they attempt to re-sign? What are the odds of that happening? And how does the qualifying offer situation work with Jeffers in particular? Let's take a look.
